The Warrior Within

 

Not all battles are physical in nature.

The mental, social, and psychological ones can be

The battles that prove to be most devastating.

 

Emotions can whirl like a roller coaster.

Some aspects in life are easy for some,

Impossible to others.

 

The life balance is no longer there.

They are the leaps and bounds we all seek in some way.

The hurdles to jump over.

The borders to break through.

The walls to tear down.

The destiny that we all seek.

 

These battles have many faces.

Take on many shapes and forms.

Relationships, politics, religion, sex,

Substances, materials, homes, money.

 

It is all a modern day war.

A war not fought with guns and bombs.

But a war that can end up worst

Than the wake of absolute devastation

Of left over flat dry tundra,

Left over by a million atom bombs going off.

 

This inner battle calls forth

The warrior within.

To step up and take control.

Be the light in the darkness.

The tranquil in the chaos.

And the hope amongst the despair.

 

Fight on my friends.

Losing is not an option.

Always have faith.

For we will all prevail yet.

 

The warrior within will win.

No matter how long it may take.

 

We will win.
