So for the most part we would like to have a way to protect ourself and love ones from harm. That is where Non lethal defense products come into play, such as pepper spray with a UV dye that could be used in a police lineup. Stun gun that would make the attacker muscles go wild with no lasting effects. Do you travel a lot. As a police officer with 29 years experience, I also advocate the use of pepper spray, but don't recommend advertising the fact you are carrying it. For pepper spray to be effective you want to get it in your attackers face, eyes, nose and mouth. If you tell someone I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY it may deter him, or it might cause him to put up his hand and block it, close his eyes or turn his head. Why not surprise him, spray him in the face and let him find out for himself? Good post overall.
