It is with the Ellen DeGeneres Show and a story in California where a 15 year old boy in eighth grade (which seems a bit old to me) was killed by a fellow eighth grader for being gay and asking this boy to be his valentine. Quite a serious situation that will indeed affect peoples lives directly with immediate families.
This story provides a great example of why I am doing these blogs. It is this level of lack of understanding and the results of such actions I am looking to prevent and end. I’ll share some personal thoughts with this.
As far as sexual preference goes, it is none of my business. I don’t even need to know you even have a sex life. Along these lines, the only person who has final say of your own sexual preference is YOU. This is definitely a sad story situation indeed. Kids may not know better, but they are capable of knowing something. It is important for them to know and understand the educated truth and not the hatred or ignorance that is going on. You have one family destroyed because their son is dead and a second family destroyed because their son committed an act of murder for whatever message reason that occurred.
I read at least a headline report dealing with the total amount of Americans in this country with a criminal record being over 1 million now. Which is a hell of a lot of people. Sure we can look at our history, how this country is a penile colony from Europe. Sure we can look at genetics to explain why behavior may exist in people. Here is the bottom line. They say ignorance is bliss for a reason. Our hatred, our stereotyping, our type casting, racisms, discriminations, every ounce of anything that causes us to lose our cool over something different than what we may be use to has just got to go.
These are the reasons I hate chauvinistic behaviors, bullying, being some inside click only club for whatever reason, anything that makes people closed minded. I’m developing the idea of living above the influence that goes beyond drugs now. Then again I believe hate and worry are something people can become addicted to as well. We must stop being so label hungry. We must all stop being hateful to whatever is outside some created norm box. Just because something is different does not mean it has to apply to you.
People with criminal records still need to work and be employed. People who choose to be homosexual should be able to share their lives normally equally with those who choose to be heterosexual. Skin color, deformations, physical or mental dysfunctions, gender, age, none of this should matter on who a person is. You are also in full control of your own personality.
If anything else, consider this. If you truly want to be a proud supporter of the heterosexual family, earning a living, having what is necessary and supporting a healthy family life; how about doing more than complaining to anyone who is not of this genre? As some people may say, don’t just sing it, bring it. Sticks and stones may break our bones; insults now range from not hurting us to being one attitude ego away from ending all life on this planet. Ask yourself this.
Is your opinion really worth destroying some one else’s life over? My condolences to both families for the lost and troubles they now must go through. Granted this all happened back in February. Lose the hate, be an open mind, lead by example, and win the faith to those who will agree with you. Evil has truly plagues ourselves, our communities, and our societies so badly that anyone’s head would spin over it all. And any sex offense crime is no different than this. Just all levels to me, not just the one sided story that seems to occur.
Rather it is abusing, molestation, rape, anything dealing with slipping drugs for sex, immature behavior, to even attacking those who are known sex offenders, making situations worst than what they are, any mountain out of a mole hill, and possible job security measure tactics, entrapments, and even psychological terroristic warfare tactics; I will NEVER APPROVE OF all this negative behavior being so destructive like it has. That is what I offer doing these blogs, besides also using what I already invested in to make some extra money. A source of education and understanding to help put an end to our attitudes with human sexuality, regardless of the situation. That is how bad the wrongs and the domino effect has taken us. Just because we may not be the ones who started the fire, does not mean we should continue to fuel them either.
So please, keep your mind and wits about yourself. Do be supportive and educational about anything you are not sure how to take or comprehend. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be violent. Do keep the love and support alive and toss bones every so often to those in need, so they too can be back on track to supporting a better positive life and productive member of society.
