They Grow Up Too Quickly.

 

Today’s SOAP lesson is base on that news report two nights ago somewhere around my in general area, (I will keep out specifics to protect the innocent.)  Basically there is a school district where the principal is not taking very seriously what 5 to 6 young boys are doing to a few of the girls in the same school.  Everyone is a 6^th grader, thus the age range is 10 to 11 years old.  Right now there is basically just investigation going on first.  The report is some of the daughters at this school are talking to their parents about being touched inappropriately and just a little beyond by their fellow classmates.

 

Here is how I recommend this whole situation to be handled.  Let me start by mentioning hold off on any needed jail sentencing unless whoever proves that there is no other option.  Some people in this world can only learn the hard way, sad enough. 

 

It is vitally important to educate those boys on why these types of actions are wrong and what could happen to them if they continue to grow up utilizing such actions again on any girl (woman) out there.  It is just as important to get those girls to understand that they have a right to speak their mind and be able to say no when any boy or guy steps out of line like that.

 

CONTROL, RESPECT, AND EDUCATION.  As my blog today is entitled they grow up too fast, there is quite a bit of truth to this.  The adolescent years of a child is when the human hormones start kicking into action.  Just because we consider that age range too young does not mean they are exempt from human sexuality.  Remember, if you go back enough years, (at this point beyond 300 years and then some), the adult age was basically 13 years of age.  The woman had to be pregnant between the age of 10 to 14 while ending up an old maid by the age of 20.  Then again, humans rarely had the opportunity to live past 30 as well.  This does not go away just because there is a major advancement in our history with everything from technology to medicine.

 

Here is a good time to band parents and student together and explain why the current situation is wrong.  Women should not need to live in fear due to social ramifications or fear of being physically abuse.  Teach these young men that it is vitally important to be in control of what will be their urges and when and how releasing them can be appropriate.  It could end up being just as wrong to oppress what they do not comprehend vs. giving them the correct education so they don’t make such mistakes again. 

 

Fear and paranoia will not end sex offense.  Focus, determination, education and respect will.  (I could create the acronym FRED or even DERF with this.  I rather not get too acronym happy.  SOAP should be plenty enough.)
