Blessings and Changes.
Even when it is obvious there are things in society that do definitely need to change, and hopefully won’t fall back into the category of the more things change, the more they stay the same; always remember to count your blessings as well.
One thing I definitely notice with our country is how much we tend to attack and take for granted this countries freedom. From stepping out of line verbally to any of this demand apology nonsense I tend to catch on the news every so often, we seem to forget that we are fortunate we are born and allow living to begin with.
Take a look at some of the history, where being evil failed mostly because that type of life is just not meant to be, even though the reality could be different if evil was successful. World War 2 is a good start. I’ve heard mostly that if Germany waited six months in either direction, attacking Russia in the summer time verses the winter time, you could be alive and well but only as a blond hair, blue eye German. Today even Germany hates that aspect of their history. But humanity also survived The Black Plague, an era where medicine was unknown. Evil just is not meant to have their way.
Subtle evils tend to be the worst. I think retail and fast food are the easiest examples to point out. As far as any mall goes, any burger or pizza or whatever fast food you enjoy, as far as any diner goes or convenient store goes; we are all fortunate any of it exist at all. Think about any of the second world and third world countries out there who don’t have this type of life or even freedom at all. I think it was mention to me that North Korea is the country where the government has huge amounts of power. If you even look at the government the wrong way over there, they would kill you on the spot. They would kill you just because they can, if they wanted to or just desired. No way would that even be tolerated here in this country. But imagine buying clothing from any clothing store where you had no choice or say on what to wear. You would be shot on the spot if you even try to rebel. Everything food wise would be that Oliver Twist slop where asking for more ended in immediate death. Compare that to being in this free country and ordering any kind of food, no matter how right your order is, you will complain and bitch about the service anyway.
Since my working hard for my money jobs involve retail, I’ve learned to respect retail and fast food, knowing how the behind the scenes work. I also humble myself remembering how fortunate we are with the amount of material possessions we are free to choose from and the amount of diversity there is. It is a blessing to have such fortune when other countries out there don’t even have enough food to feed their own nation, let alone the opposite side of the coin which is America today.
Even while knowing how bless we are, there is great need for major changes and overhaul that is our system as well. Since that opposite side of the coin becomes high amounts of waste, greed and conceitedness running away from us, being too complacent for our own good, griping about things we are fortunate to have at all, and overall just being painted as this self absorbed country without any major care in the world besides ourselves.
It is our system of living that does entrap us like this. A lot of people don’t even realize how they are acting or being because of how natural it is to complain and let off some steam here and there. I liked some of the talk shows that now and then showed video tape of people with how they are. Sometimes just watching yourself or listening to yourself makes your subconscious kick into gear and strive to change for the better. I’m no fan of talk shows, mostly because they helped established this era of a competition on who can live a worst type lifestyle. Note my last blog when I mentioned Britney Spears.
This is why it is so important to be aware and know about self ownership of who we are as people. What elements in life are attacking us from being or continuing to be productive members in society? What changes, little or big, should happen to make sure the majority of people can live normally enough in today’s status quo? While we are bless greatly with many things, we also need to safe guard ourselves from allowing our lifestyle getting the best of us and run away from us.
Since I am all about helping end sex offense, I do know there are a lot of people who end up committing sex offense crimes just due to the self absorbed nature and conceitedness where they make their initial thinking errors in life, or even repeat offenses. Many other crimes happen for the same reasoning.
Be thankful you have a family, you have friends, and you have a job and opportunity to work how you are pleased to work best. Be thankful you can choose what religion to follow, what philosophy to believe in, and what mannerisms to have. Be thankful to have freedom at all and remember that life is always capable of being worst. While remaining thankful, grateful, and humbled, also band together to unite needed changes to help end other traps that our modern world is establishing. Better internet controls and control factors. Better monitoring systems; and ways to stop things like identity theft. Don’t fear to educate your children the truths and realities, or actualities of life. Stop being paranoid over ideas that are different from yours. Be firm with your focus and determination to end any chance of being wronged; while realizing some things in this world are not wrongs to lose sleep over.
Money is but a number created by human. Humans created this modern world and society, created convenience and laws to abide by, and created how to think in this life and in this world. Let’s fight to make changes for the better, and remind ourselves how bless we are in life to have what we already do have in life.
