Becoming Complacent
If there is every a major draw back to being a citizen in this country, becoming complacent with our lifestyles is upon the top listings. It is too easy to be satisfied with life. Therefore, when the little bubbles that make our personal world safe gets popped, of course all hell finds way to break loose.
A lot of people who commit crimes and are caught for them are usually too complacent for their own good. Sex offense can also fall easily into the same trappings. Sexual deviants usually occur when routine life becomes simple and somewhat boring. The mind and imagination will start to wander and then the thinking errors start to happen. So lines end up being crossed and boundaries broken. People start to hurt other people and the domino effect just continues from there.
I am finding that modern life in general is running away from us. Some people just are not able to keep up. What people want in society and what is society’s reality end up two different things. Money is probably the most noted issue where this can be seen. When the cost of living starts getting too far ahead from what the majority of people are earning, and taxes start taking more away and charging more, this is how money itself can become very problematic and endangering to life itself.
My biggest points when it comes to money is this, it’s still nothing but a number and an idea in the heads of humans, the human race is the only reason why money exist at all. So why allow our economy, that no one really controls, get too far away from us and end up putting people in danger from being able to survive at all? I could end up a multi billionaire and I would still say outlaw and make money illegal. Knowing my luck, once I (if and when) do become a billionaire; that is when currency becomes outlawed and done away with. But that’s just my own dumb luck. I rather get back to the basics and remind people why money is there to begin with, stop putting mortgage level price tags on all aspects of life, and just realize not every aspect of life needs a cost to it. Greed is easily killing this planet. Environmentally, emotionally, socially, etc.
When complacent living attacks peoples ability to just survive, this is where and when ill thought start taking over and winning. The piling up of wrongs, the heighten levels of stress, the outlets we may seek through substances or sexual releases, and the thinking problems and errors that will pursue when just the basics we all want people to live up to are just not happening.
We all must be in control of what is our life. We should also be more respectful to those who may not fit into some trends in this world. Plus we should all not allow our comfort zones run away from us as well. Complacent behavior can lead to destruction in some sort of way. Sex crimes are definitely one of those destructive behavior patterns.
Don’t fear analyzing your life and seeing where room for improvement can happen. Also look for ways to humble yourself on a daily basis with a reminder on what your blessings are and how to be thankful that those blessings exist at all.
I will once again write a second blog today to make up for the blogging I did not get done this week. I’ve been work busy and exhausted afterwards. Plus my focus got pulled in a couple hundred ways. This is another thing that happens too easily. But that is not so much complacent as it is just too many things in life to be on top of. The ADHD of life.
